Day Spa FAQs
How long does my hair have to be for waxing?
At least 1/4″ long, or about 10 days worth of growth.
If I have an event coming up, when should I be waxed?
Between 2-5 days before your event is recommended.
How often should I be waxed?
This will vary from one client to another, but the average is once a month.
How long will my brow or lash tint last?
There are many factors that go into how long your brow or lash tint will last, but on average they will last about 1 month.
How long will I be red after a micro or chemical peel?
It all depends on how aggressive your peel is. It can be anywhere from nothing at all to very red and peeling. It is best to discuss how aggressive you want to go with your esthetician.
What’s the best way to keep my skin looking great after a treatment?
The best way to keep your results going is by using the skin care products recommended by your esthetician. We like to compare it to going to the gym. If you only go once a month you aren’t going to see any results. But if you go everyday, you see results that will last.
What types of treatments can I have done before a special event?
A European Facial or a light chemical peel is best before a special event. Again, it is best to discuss this with your esthetician.
Will I look orange after my airbrush tan?
Not at all. We use South Seas products, and the Tahitian Tan solution delivers a flawless tan, with a perfect mahogany color for all skin types.
What should I do to prepare for an airbrush tan?
For best results, exfoliate your skin before your tan and don’t use too much lotion. It is best to wear loose fitting clothes to your appointment.
How many times will I be injected when I have my botox treatment?
It all depends on how many units you are receiving. For example, if you were getting 30 units, that would be between 4-6 injections.
Will my injections be painful?
When injecting botox, our nurses use an insulin syringe. They are very small needles, making the injecting process very bearable. We like to compare the process to a brow wax. The nurses use a topical numbing solution, and Juvederm syringes are laced with lidocaine. They can also inject you with a nerve blocker just like you would get at the dentist office. Our nurses have injected so many clients that they are very good at injecting in areas that will give you a more comfortable experience along with your desired results.
How much does Botox and Juvederm cost?
Botox is $10 per unit, and Juvederm is $500 per syringe.
What is the difference between Botox and Juvederm?
Botox is injected to help relax your over active muscles. It reduces muscle activity that causes moderate to severe lines to form. It will give you a refreshed look and prevent you from deepening that line. Juvederm is a dermal filler that helps to instantly restore your skin’s volume and smooth away facial wrinkles and folds like your “smile lines” or “parentheses” – the creases that run from the bottom of your nose to the corners of your mouth.
How long will my treatment last?
Visible results have been shown to last up to 4 months with Botox, and up to 1 year with Juvederm. Your own results may vary – you can talk to our nurses about what you can expect and when to schedule your next appointment.
What are the possible side effects of Botox or Juvederm?
You may have some light bruising and swelling. If you would like to further educate yourself on the less common side effects you can go to Botox.com or Juvederm.com.
How long will my Botox/Juvederm treatment take?
Generally the nurses take 30 minutes to inject Botox and 45 minutes to inject Juvederm.
Do you have before and after pictures?
Of course we do! We have pictures posted on our blog, and we would love to share more of them with you when you come in.
